This Privacy Policy explains how WebWatchr Inc ("WebWatchr," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information in connection with the Service.

"Service" means WebWatchr's products and services, including the website and application dashboard at webwatchr.io, WebWatchr mobile applications, the WebWatchr browser extension, the WebWatchr API, and the WebWatchr CLI.

"Monitoring Data" means snapshots, screenshots, extracted page text, change-diff outputs, execution logs, and related metadata generated when monitoring targets you configure.

By using the Service, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.


1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account, Profile, and Authentication Data

  • Account identifiers such as email, account settings, and profile preferences.
  • Authentication data, including password hashes, login events, and session/token metadata.
  • OAuth linkage data from providers such as Google, Apple, or GitHub (for example name, email, and provider account identifiers).

1.2 Billing and Subscription Data

  • Subscription plan selections, billing status, invoices, and transaction metadata.
  • Payment processing data handled by Stripe under Stripe's own privacy terms.

1.3 Monitoring Configuration and Target Data

  • URLs, schedules, selectors, workflow settings, and notification preferences you configure.
  • Optional automation inputs and credentials you provide for configured workflows.

1.4 Monitoring Data and Execution Logs

  • Monitoring Data produced from configured monitoring targets.
  • Job execution records, result metadata, diagnostics, and operational logs.

1.5 API, Webhook, and Device Data

  • API key metadata such as scope, creation date, last use, and revocation status (full key values are not retrievable after initial display).
  • Webhook endpoint configuration and delivery metadata.
  • Mobile push device tokens and related delivery status metadata.

1.6 Support and Communications Data

When you contact us, we collect the information you provide, such as email correspondence, support requests, and associated troubleshooting context.


2. How We Use Information

We use personal information and Monitoring Data to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Deliver monitoring, notifications, automation, API, and CLI functionality.
  • Authenticate users, protect accounts, detect abuse, and enforce security controls.
  • Process subscriptions, billing, and payment operations.
  • Provide support and respond to requests.
  • Analyze product usage and improve the Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

3. Legal Bases for Processing (Where Applicable)

Depending on your location, we process information based on one or more of the following legal bases: contract performance, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligations.


4. Third-Party Services and Subprocessors

We use third-party providers to support delivery of the Service. Providers may process personal information only as needed to perform services for us, subject to their contractual and legal obligations.

Infrastructure, Delivery, and Operations:Amazon Web Services (including storage, compute, and email infrastructure where applicable).

Payments: Stripe.

Analytics: PostHog.

AI and Content Analysis: OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Anthropic when enabled for configured analysis workflows.

OAuth Authentication Providers: Google, Apple, and GitHub.

Proxy Services: The Service offers optional proxy routing for monitoring requests. When you use the managed proxy feature, your monitoring traffic is routed through proxy infrastructure operated by or on behalf of WebWatchr. When you configure a custom proxy (Bring Your Own Proxy), your monitoring traffic is routed through the proxy infrastructure you specify. Custom proxy URLs are encrypted at rest within our systems. WebWatchr does not control, audit, or assume responsibility for how third-party proxy providers handle data that transits their infrastructure. You are responsible for reviewing the privacy and data handling practices of any custom proxy provider you configure.


5. Cookies, Similar Technologies, and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, maintain sessions, remember preferences, improve performance, and support analytics.

You can manage cookie settings through your browser and, where available, in-product consent controls.


6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information and Monitoring Data for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain security, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

If you cancel or downgrade, account and Monitoring Data may remain available according to your resulting plan, service configuration, and operational requirements.

If you request deletion, we aim to complete deletion in a reasonable operational timeframe, typically within about 30 to 60 days, except where longer retention is required or permitted by law.

Backup systems and disaster recovery copies may persist for up to 90 days before routine overwrite or deletion.

We may retain limited records as necessary for legal, accounting, tax, audit, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and security purposes.


7. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers, integration partners acting on your instructions, affiliates, legal authorities where required, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer.


8. International Data Transfers and Security

The Service may process data in the United States, Canada, and other jurisdictions where our providers operate. By using the Service, you acknowledge cross- border transfer and processing of your information.

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption, access controls, logging, and service-level security controls. No system can be guaranteed fully secure.


9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

You may submit requests through account settings where available or by contacting support@webwatchr.io. We typically respond within statutory or operational timelines and may extend response periods where permitted by law.


10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.


11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material updates become effective when posted or when otherwise communicated to you.
